The S4 High School Years releases today. Are you?

I would enjoy trying out the new CAS, but with the awful aging bug the patch added to the game, I can't in good conscience buy an EP now. And while I know that I could start a new save to avoid the bug, that's not something I want to do as I have wonderful Sims in my existing saves I want to explore the pack with. So I am going to wait for the fix, but hope everyone who is not plagued by bugs has loads of fun with HSY!

I mean, I already updated my game, so unless we get a hotfix today, I might as well explore the new CAS and BB items ?

Getting it today. I updated (although I know there are issues), haven’t experienced anything major, only one of my sims got younger on short lifespan (clean green bar), which doesn’t matter since he is immortal wolf anyway. So I decided to take the risk.Already prepared the shell of a house I’m going to put on one of the small lots in Copperdale as my sims are living in Moonwood right now. They have one kid who only has one step of child’s aspiration left and he is ready to conquer high school. He is werewolf so my only hope right now is he won’t start rampaging during class and get expelled (but that would be cool ?).

Definitely waiting for bug fixes before I even open my game. I also am hoping there will be mods to fix some of the issues with the patch (lack of wants and fears for other packs) and the pack itself (no clubs at school; orientation not mattering in Social Bunny) .I am leaning towards waiting for a sale also, but reserve the right to change my mind if it's better than I think it will be.

Already preordered.I play with ageing off so havent encountered the ageing bug, plus I have no mods or CC installed so hopefully it should run ok.

I learned my lesson with My Wedding Stories. If I'm not getting it for the Gameplay (and I actually *wanted* HSY until I saw that they'd decided to focus on pretty much none of the aspects of Teen Years that actually matter to me, not to mention dropping the ball hard on cross pack integration) I'm not paying full price. I can live without the bonus items.

I preordered because so many of my favorite Sim YouTubers raved about it. None of them (that I watch) ran into the glitches. I waited on Wedding Stories, because those same YouTubers reported the glitchiness in their videos for that pack. Next time, I will doubt the people I previously trusted.

100% waiting until the patch is fixed so I can update (or until modders fix the issues I have with the patch and the pack).

I wish we didn't need so many fixes but I've already updated and ordered it, plus I booked release day off work so I could play it. So I might as well play it, I've backed up my save file just in case. Hopefully it's smooth sailing from here on for everyone :)

I'm in a bit of a pickle. I don't want to give them full price cash for this super limiting pack, especially when they released a game-breaking update. However I still have an itch to make Sims and been waiting for new CAS stuff (mainly HAIRSTYLES) to play around with. Wish I could just use CC but I can't bring myself to.

Pack looks good, but between the messy patch that Im waiting to be fixed on and not being too impressed with the amount of gameplay content for a $40 price marking...im probably gonna wait for a sale.

i can recommend good creators for male CC that looks like maxis made it if you're interested
