- I finally hit 100 Generations YESTERDAY!!! :) Please excuse the image quality I couldn't figure out how to take a screenshot. ****100 GENERATIONS!!**** http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f216/klrbluerose/sims4LL.png_zps0jf5ot7y.jpeg
- Well done @KlrSims. I have no idea how you did that with the bug erasing people. I manage to keep about 3 generations of my family if I am lucky. I know it can't be recording it correctly either, because I don't even have the 10 generations achievement and I am way past that. It's really depressing me actually because one of the things I've always loved in Sims is the family tree. I was really sad it wasn't in the base game and overjoyed when they brought it back in an update. But now it's like this cruel taunt where I have a family tree, but it's always broken. I have paintings with an erased artist, I have food cooked by an erased person, I have tombstones for erased people and I have tiny family trees with blank faces. Really frustrating, I really hope Maxis are working on this as a priority. They have fixed other bugs, so I do believe they're trying, it's just really frustrating that I can't record my legacy or work on any of these achievements :(
- Out of all the bugs and problems with the game, repairing the genealogy and family tree is the most important in my opinion. It even places higher than "toddlers". What is the point of adding another dimension to the game with another life phase if the individual will soon disappear as if they never existed at all? Sure, toddlers would add so much to the game, but we would simply be loosing more as well when those Sims are gone.

I got this achievement using a mod that helped in keep family trees from getting erased. After I got the achievement I saved and deleted the mod. This immediately cause family tree to be deleted. But, I still had the achievement unlocked. - I used no cheats or MODS myself but glad you were able to get it too :)

I do use mods for clothing and hair. Not for scripts, (those are asking for trouble), but for this achievement it was the only way it worked. "Courfeyrac;13352660" wrote:
Haha, the furthest I've ever got through a legacy challenge was generation 3, and that was (I think) just after TS2 NL had come out.
I've gotta say, though, I love how the devs have basically taken this idea that was conceived by a fan of the game and made it, essentially, "canon". So cool.
I did do a 26 generation of the A-Z challenge in Sims 3, have tried it in sims 4, but have not made it so far. I am making a new challenge and story called The Chosen One's and will see how long I can keep their generations going. You can find The Chosen One's below.
I do hope that those who are doing the Legacy Challenge have fun and make it to the end.
