Has anyone ever tried....

Making a house completely out of the styled rooms?

It could lead to some interesting builds. I don't know if I personally would do it as I'm short on time at the moment and have no need for new houses.

  • I always build from scratch because I like the design part. But, good to have those rooms in a pinch!
  • I very rarely use the styled rooms since I find them "awkward" to use, the doors are usually in the wrong place for where I want to use them, then I have to go about chaning wall decorations to move it and change furniture around; by the time I've finished I find I would just as well have started the room from scratch. However, one thing I will say for them; they do give me some good design ideas.
  • Ahh, yes...the pre-made build challenge - yep, a while ago. Thought about revisiting the idea recently, but just wasn't feeling it, so moved on. Perhaps another day...with another pack added. Who knows where the creativity may flow?!:D
  • No, but it might be fun to try. I do use some of the styled rooms a lot. Like for instance the restaurant kitchens. How much variation can there be with those, anyway? And I know that things are are all functional, ie, I haven't blocked something by mistake. I just change up the wall floor treatments a bit to match and away we go. I guess I'd be more apt to use the gallery for the residential rooms, they can be downright amazing.
  • Not combined styled rooms, but on a whim I gave Geoffrey Landgraab a sister and needed a place for her. So I searched for a room to build around. Found a nice bedroom and just built the rest up around it. It was a quick way to build a house.
