Hatching eggs disappearing from coop?

I’ve been noticing eggs disappearing for a while now, but I know mine is because they “spoil” and if you’re not watching your sims closely, they’ll throw the hatching egg away when cleaning the coop.

I've seen sims throw away the eggs supposed to be hatching, but didn't realize it was because they spoiled. Huh.

The game is getting unplayable

I have just checked this thread as my rancher sim is going to have a chicken coop soon, and there are some good workaround ideas at the end of the thread which I'll use, but yeah, this is going to be kind of irritating. Hopefully they'll fix it soon!
