Have a question about wandering the maze in Charlet Garden

Hi, I'm currently playing Vlad and he joined The Knight of the Hedge. I clicked the snail thing to wander the maze but nothing happens. Is that supposed not to work with vamp sim? I can see other human club members are wandering together except for Vladislaus. I tried to disable 'move as a mist' and still the same.

I found myself. I just clicked 'wander' when he was already in the maze which didn't work. It worked while he was playing chess.
