Have extreme emotion deaths become easier?

Hysterical in particular is one they need to watch for, simply because of the way Playful can combine with Happy. The more random Happy moodlets we get, the easier it is to hit Hysteria. A Goofball that has a wedding shortly after being engaged and lives in a nice house...? That's like +10 Playfulness right there. The Parenthood Pack can bring this higher if, for example, family members you have a good relationship with attend the wedding, causing their +2 happy buff when they're nearby.

I imagine each new pack will offer new opportunities for a happy moodlet since this is like their go-to for...everything? As such, I fully expect that one day we may see complaints that Hysterical deaths have spiked due to a surplus of happy moodlets.

I was informed by other players that you needn't worry if a teen gets these extreme moods. They won't die from such. But, I'm gathering from your post it wasn't teens who perished?

i've only ever had a problem with hysteria, and i've been having that issue since before this pack. Too many happy moodlets. My vampire can't tell jokes at night because he's automatically at +4 happy every night. If he happens to be in a nice room thats another 3, for nothing at all but just being there.

I hope so! Two years of playing the Sims 4 and I've never had an emotional death, even with trying to murder the neighbors in a Angry Flaming Spaghetti party.

Cardiac Explosion one of my favorite deaths. I had two female sims who were declared enemies. They kept arguing and fighting, and one died from Cardiac Explosion, from becoming too angry. The surviving sim, laughed & laughed when the other died. When Grim left the tombstone, she started dancing on the grave, and celebrating. She had a happy moodlet from watching an enemy die, and another one from dancing on dead enemy's grave, or something to that affect.

It's all these happy moodlets. Nothing wrong with them but the environment buffs really distracts from gameplay and adds unnecessary emotions and adds more points to positive moodlets. You'd think a sim would be used to their own house by now. Plus it's annoying when a sad/Angry sim starts feeling better because the decorations are cute

Out of all the things they have dumbed down in the game, the one thing that really needs it, is that plum "nicely decorated" buff

My teen dim came home from school mortified. Scared the heck out of me. I had her do all the things to soften the buff, and it showed it was, but it didn't helped. Thankfully she didn't die. I have had a couple YA Sims with hysterical, but calming them down helped.
