Confessions of a cc addict: I always say it's all about the pc. My old one couldn't handle it. It started to lag and get slow with long loading. I had to take our stuff I wasn't using.
Then I decided I wanted to play max graphics, hq mod reshade and not have to worry about cc.
I upgraded to msi gaming desktop and my sim life is glorious. My pc says I have 30 thousand peices of cc and about 20 mods with 0 issues.
I mean i get some last exceptions and general mod issues i have to figure out what's causing the mess lol but no issues from the game itself. I never have to remove cc I play with it all in there lol.
Alpha cc catse I'm addicted to the textures. I can't stand the smooth plastic look. If I download a rough wooden floor I want it to look like that.
And since I play a lot of apocalyptic storylines I need that rough texture lol. One of my biggest addictions is cc hair for some reason. I can't stop downloading send help ???.
I try to keep mods to a minimum and just keep essentials like mccomand, realistic kids by zulf for tons of stuff kids can do including bike riding, slice of life for the amazing invites that were nerfed.
A walkby mod to keep npcs in their own world and some others. I learned the hard way to keep ALL mods in organized folders and make sure each one is up to date with every patch.
I hate chaos that I didn't intend myself so I try to keep it basic with mods lol I just go crazy on cc because it doesn't normally break or cause major glitches like mods.
Plus sims conflict detector is a must as well as tmex better exceptions mod. Both of those has helped me weed out mad mods/cc and stray files that didn't belong.
Sorry no shenanigans stories ?? just a few corrupted saves from bad mods a while ago. But my pc does not run slow so it's worth all the headache and time I spend sorting things.
But anyways, sitting here thinking about this, I'm wondering about y'all's opinions and experiences. How many mods do you have in your game? Do you use alpha or maxis match cc? Do you always keep cc in your game? Why do you use cc? Are there mods you use temporarily and pull them out when you don't need them? What happens when mods cause chaos to descend upon your game?--Do you like the chaos? Do you try to stop it or do you encourage it? Does the chaos stress you out? Is having mods in your game worth having it run slow? Tell me everything. Stories about shenanigans are highly encouraged.
