have you had a baby change color?

Now I'm wondering if I'm colorblind. All the babies in those pictures look blue to me, even though the dad is clearly green.

I feel like I'm going crazy. they're both blue now! maybe they were blue all along and my eyes are just janked up. . . but then why are they blue when their dad is green? I'm so confused.

That is a bit strange, does he have any relatives? Like a father, mother, or sibling with a different skin tone than green?

Just a note that my sim (father) was green while the mom was human skinned and four of six of his children ended up blue and the other two human colored <3 Here is one of the parents and then three of their children <3

I was pretty confused when they were babies too but I couldn't see it any other way now1

ooh thanks for the post! maybe mixing with a human skintone is why it varies like that? I'll have to pop my couple into CAS eventually and see how the colors manage. for now though no more baby making. . . surprised me with twins on top of their four dogs :# it's a painfully full house rn

lmao yeah now that I look at the second pic they don't even look very green! maybe it's the lighting in their baby room? now I need to boot back up and check.

his mother is green and he has a twin brother who is also green. his dad is just regular human. hm. I'm also realizing that the color debacle is probably on my end. I think f.lux was making the colors look weird because it dims my monitor at night. as for the blue, that's still a mystery to me. maybe being part alien means all the alien skintones are up for grabs genetically. that's my best guess!

honestly, I've never made an alien in CAS so I had no idea what their skintone range was (until now) but you're right on that! turns out they're not the blue I've seen before and instead are a different shade I hadn't seen altogether.
