Having Sims Based On TV Shows Or Franchises

I currently have a few students from the Harry Potter universe (Harry's parents and their friends). They are mainly friends for my main sim at the moment. Perhaps Sirius will end up in the family tree of my current household. They are all spellcasters obviously, and in the same club so I can call them over together .
I am also considering starting a new save with a star trek vibe. With the science career, astronauts with rockets and the robot crafting I can give them enough to do. I plan on using the island living diving suits (the black swatches with color on the shoulders) as a star trek inspired uniform. Not sure if I will go for specific characters or just create my own in this setting.
