Hello everybody!
When did you start simming?
I started sometime around late 2009/early 2010, the exact date is a bit hazy, but it was less than a year after the release of Sims 3. I bounced around between it and a couple of other games before I started playing The Sims 4 exclusively in 2014. I've never looked back.
What is your favourite Sims 4 world?
Hands down it's Tartosa❤️ I also love San Myshuno, Sulani, Windenburg, and Brindleton Bay. There really isn't a world I don't like, and there are only a handful I don't use.
What is your favourite Sims 4 pack or kit?
My favorite pack is Get Famous. I have done the acting career more than any other except maybe painting. Not the rabbit hole painting career though, like self-employed painters. Like the worlds I have so many packs and kits that I love and use, though I'd say City Living, Dine Out, and Vampires have gotten the most use. I have every pack that's ever been released and all but 3 or 4 of the kits.
Do you like building or creating sims household or playing the game, the most? Or you do like doing all these things equally?
With TS3 I was all about the gameplay but I really loved redecorating homes. I did dabble a bit in building. When TS4 came out I was into creating sims big time. For a long time I was a chronic restarter so I built up a big library of sims from all of those starts. I can't begin to imagine how many saves I started and deleted almost immediately because I didn't like something about the setup. For the last couple of years I've been into all three parts since I discovered a passion for writing SimLit. I love the gameplay which feeds the story and supplies the screenshots. I love creating new characters to populate the two stories I currently have running. Lastly I enjoy creating the lots that appear in those stories. Sometimes I download one off the gallery and redecorate or lightly modify it to fit the story, sometimes I build my own lots from scratch if I want something very specific for the story. My restart-itis is a thing of the past as I currently only have two active saves, one of which is nearing its second anniversary, called Under The Tartosan Sun. The other one, called Schemes & Dreams just turned one back in December. Currently Under The Tartosan Sun is being shared on the old forums and eventually on the new one, while Schemes & Dreams due to its occasionally adult nature is on an offsite blog. I maintain comment threads on the forums for both stories though Schemes & Dreams does require some careful wording to discuss on the forums.😇
SimLit writing is my passion. I can't imagine a world without The Sims and the stories the game helps me bring to life and allows me to share with my readers. I'm also a CC and Mods addict. I have spent hours at a time searching the internet looking for any piece of CC or that one mod that adds a little something extra that helps make those stories even better.
Hello @DaniRose2143 🙂 It is lovely to see you here.
It is great that you have been simming since 2009/2010 by playing Sims 3, and are now enjoying playing Sims 4.
Tartosa is a lovely world! Your other favourite worlds are also very nice.
It is great that you enjoy having your sims doing the acting career. It is an enjoyable feature of Get Famous and is fun!
I also enjoy having my sims painting in the game.
It is very special that you enjoy doing SimLit. It is a lovely way to express your creativity and involves all parts of simming, from creating sims, to building lot for them to live in and visit, then playing the game for them to live out their sims lives in your stories.
Happy simming and story writing! 🙂
You don’t need to be sorry at all about being confused about the forums!

@rosemow I just realized I forgot to say thank you. I'm so embarrassed. Thank you for the kind words and for starting this discussion. It's comforting to see so many familiar faces from the other forum. The changes coming feel a lot less scary with them still around. Everyone feels like an extended family. That's what I love about the community that formed around this game. It's like nothing else.
It's also great to get to know some new simmers too!

I am glad that finding familiar faces here is comforting for you @DaniRose2143 The old forums created a caring, fun, helpful and kind community of simmers, and I am sure that when the new forums are up and running, the same sense of community will develop. It will be great to have old friends and make new ones too 🙂
