I did not use the cheat, she became one naturally (which I heard can happen rarely) and is very glitched. I removed the mermaid trait when she got stuck swimming in the ground, but she still has the hydration motive instead of hygiene. I am afraid to put her back in the water. Is there a mod that makes this a bit more fluid or, at least, changes the hydration motive to hygiene?

When you say “removed the mermaid trait”, did you do it by using cheats, or did you cure her naturally by eating mermaid kelps?

I used a cheat to remove it, but she still has the hydration motive with the spellcaster background and the ability to use spells. Her father is the merman and her mother is a spellcaster. Her twin is a regular mermaid. It's too weird. In all honesty, my story was heading down this arc that her twin was jealous of her sister's casting ability, but now she is really angry that her sister has both fins and magic :lol: Not really how I intended it to go.

Sounds like a mess :lol: The only thing i can think off, is trying to cure it ‘naturally’ by eating two mermaid kelps in a row. But if you already removed it with cheats, I’m not sure if it will work Edit: if it doesn’t work, and you haven’t touched the save too much, you could try and restore it and then try the kelps again. Just remember to back-up your save :smiley:

Oh :( I wish they would either add proper supports for hybrids or make them completely impossible to get. It sounds frustrating

You Sim is stuck mid-transformation so he/she is not either human or mermaid, you need to get in the water and then cheat he/she into a mermaid then remove the occult and he/she should be normal again, it took me all day to work out so I hope this helps you all ☺️ (Cheats are underneath)

You can add the Mermaid Trait to your Sim using the above testing cheats then typing Traits.Equip_Trait Trait_OccultMermaid. Similarly, you can return a Sim back to human by using the Traits.Remove_Trait Trait_OccultMermaid cheat.

i just tried doing this and it didn’t work for me. idk if i did something wrong but it still shows hydration for my sim. she is a vampire/spellcaster hybrid and i used a cheat to make her a mermaid for a day and then removed it but yeah the hydration bar is still there. ?
