Further Update: Issues continue. Even though I have deleted the cache and repaired my game, both Sims seem to be in a persistent "uncomfortable" to "very uncomfortable" state. Admittedly, Joshua has now developed the 'fever' too.
More annoying (and more concerning) is when I sent Joshua to work at the police station. He cannot start a case map. The interactions on the computer do include "get case assignment" but no matter how many times I attempt it (even after travelling to patrol..) it will not complete. Therefore the map remains and I cannot do his task of starting a new case map. UGH :s
