Help with Get Famous reputation??

Thanks everyone! I think the game or Sim is bugged. I've done almost everything you guys have suggested prior to creating this post and still nothing. My Sim is constantly giving out posters and snow globes as gifts. He wants everyone to like him - He's THAT guy. lol. He also makes stuff on the woodworking table and gifts to fans. High Charisma so everyone gets a Cheerful or Flirty intro.

I haven't tried the mentor thing bc his fitness is only Level 8 but once I max out I'll try that, too. I will also add a bad Sim to the household and have them get into a bunch of fights and see if that works.
