Is there a way to unlock and put the Hermit in their "proper" clothing?The Hermit in my game is an elder male, but wearing make-up, earrings, pink sweater, skirt, and heels? I just want a normal Hermit, dressed appropriately considering he/she is supposed to be a loner living off the land...My game is vanilla, I am not using mods or CC, and I have tried the repair option.If I can't change his clothing, is there an effective way to kill him, maybe the game can spawn one that is dressed correctly.thanks

My sim is working on the herbalism skill, and part of that is befriending the hermit and collecting all of the wild plants, and insects. She has identified all the plants on her first trip their, and met the hermit. She has some of the insects, but not some of the more rare ones. I have her take a vacation between every career she maxes with her vacation days before she switches jobs. This will be her second trip. Mainly the grind of trying to find all the insects, and I am not sure whether I want her to do the science career next or not, but was wondering with the clone machine if she would be able to clone some of the rarer insects for herbal potions.

The hermit clothing is in CAS under the full outfits, select that and then filter by pack (Outdoor Retreat of course) and then it'll come up. There are a few different color swatches for it as well.Edit: you know, it's really odd that your hermit spawned in women's clothing because just today I had my sim visit the hermit and he was in the correct clothing for a while, but then all of the sudden while he was gardening he changed into an outfit that included a pair of women's shorts. Weird coincidence.

Weird coincidence.I want to say that he was in the correct outfit at first, but then changed and has stayed in the female clothing since then. But at any rate, I am not to concerned, as my sim completed the part of the aspiration of befriending the Hermit, getting the recipe, collected all the insects, and only needs one more fish from Granite Falls. She is level 9 in Herbalism, and only needs to sleep in a tent 4 more nights. u could try testingcheats true then cas.fulleditmode I think ive had a hermit in cas before. hope that helps.

I have never used the full edit cas cheat before, will it have the Hermit's proper clothes? I thought that the outfit for them and some of the other NCP role sims are locked and not available in CAS?

u shift and point at that sim not urs, it will give options, one will say mode. hit that one, change his clothes, then go bk. if u lose ur toon u know where ur sim lives, just go bk to sims house. hope that helps

The hermit's clothing was unlocked with the August 2016 patch update.

I have no idea wear in CAS to find the Hermit outfit for the males. Many of the NCP role sims (Nannies, Maids, Repairman, Garderners) are locked in CAS. I thought that the patch notes for the Gender Patch stated that NCP and Townies would not be generated as Transgender or Cross-dressers and that it was the player that had to manually create/change Sims by using the options. Is this not the way the patch was supposed to work? Maybe I misunderstood the patch notes, but I thought that players had control over what types of sims were generated randomly? I know that City Living intentionally makes some (weird) dressed sims, but I did not think that they changed the existing NCP roles to randomly now all be Transgender or Cross-dressing.
Sorry for my confusion, but I have been ill for several months and have not played at all. I started to play again in December 2016 after I got City Living, and ended up deleting that game when the nanny showed up as a cross-dresser/Transgender and was constantly being flirty with my sims child. I thought I read that the romantic relationship bar had been fixed with children, but I guess it is still there.

After getting the Vampire pack, I removed all my CC (never had any mods installed), reset my Sims 4 folder, cleared the Origin Cache files, repaired the game and created my current household. I have never activated the gender options in this save file. My sim does not have children, is a regular sim (not vampire or alien) and I am trying to see how many aspirations and career branches she can complete without cheating or adding mods.

I know I can go into Manage Worlds and delete the existing Hermit and hope the game generates a new one, but I am not sure if the game would create a new hermit. I was only asking if it might be better to somehow kill him off instead and maybe the game would automatically generate a new Hermit NCP that hopefully is wearing the proper clothing for the role he/she is supposed to have.
