I cannot believe we are just 3 or 4 months removed from the MWS disaster, and it looks like we have another extremely good pack coming. The quality seems to have gone way up with Werewolves and now High School. The depth and quality are amazing, what we can see of this pack anyway. I was blown away by Werewolves and I'm getting a lot of the same vibes with this pack too.
I'm loving what I see, and since I'm home I'm able to see a lot more than this morning at work. I'm amazed that we're getting both an interactive school but any entirely new world. I wasn't too sure this morning before the trailer dropped that it would be possible to get both, because of how big I felt like a high school would have to be compared to what the movie studio is, but here we are! I'm eagerly awaiting details on the world, and I hope it's a real world-ish version of Moonwood Mill. And to those worried about the number of empty lots, bulldozers go through creators lots like butter. I wouldn't demolish their work for the sake of destruction, but if I need the lot and I want my own building there, so be it.
I love that graduation looks like it won't be a rabbit hole like it is in DU. At least I don't think it will be since there was footage of it. I'm really happy to see Proms, even though the lingering ghosts of MWS wedding disasters still haunt the sims universe and make me a bit nervous. Trying to keep that many sims focused on the main task at hand is....fraught with peril. I'm going to take the cautiously optimistic view, that the Gurus learned a great deal from the MWS debacle and this will go much smoother. It has too...right?
Shaving is a feature that I'm not sure how I feel about at the moment. I'm not huge on body hair or beards and mustaches, and I really don't want to have my sims spending inordinate amounts of time on it. I'm not terribly worried at the moment, but it's something I'm going to be keeping my eyes and ears on, and I hope isn't going to be something that becomes an intrusive element.
I'm going to go back and rewatch the trailer again a couple more times to try and absorb even more details.
