That's a pretty devastating one.
Looks like I have my work cut out for me to make the best of this pack.
It might also be that you need to really work at your career rather than just trying it out after a few hours practice as the game-changers have been forced to do, so some Simmers might find their gameplay enjoyment doing that. He might also not be very good at decorating!
He might not use it but I've noticed a few of the game-changers using the MCCC mod and wonder if that needs a bit of updating.
I'll be buying it for the objects mainly but like the idea of it. I don't like to rush gameplay, love looking around others' houses, so taking things slowly, finding likes and dislikes will suit me.
I don't think it has nothing to do with him not being good at decorating or mccc. The clients liked a piece of ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Carl left in the decorated room, the clients liked rooms that had nothing to do with what was asked for, besides the liked color... this was to test that clients don't acknowledge anything beside the color (and maybe the furniture style...?). Clients ask for a kitchen, you give them a rock climbing room, and because it uses the liked color, they loved it... even the career isn't well made... and is the modular furniture enough to hold this price tag...? I don't think so, but that's just my opinion...
He said he was out to test and break the game if possible so I expect other Simmers might take a gentler route to finding out about the game than him. An easy job to start with one Sim?
Imo it doesn't matter what's the game changer approach as long as it clearly shows that sims are not even acknowlodging what kind of room they are asked to renovate, or if the objects make sense or not.
Carl's review is what we call in my job a proof by absurd. He tried to use the absurd to prove that you basically can do anything as long as the right color (and maybe furniture style) is used. Because it was absurd, the game should have refuted it. But it didn't...
It was his choice to go that route though. The tasks suggest what room he was supposed to make and he ignored it. Personally I think the likes/dislikes are enough guidance for the job along with the original assignment. I don't need the game to watch over me when it comes to the room purpose.
He chose that route to prove that we can ignore the client asks and still succed in the career. It's posible. But it shouldn't be if the career was well made.
Ofc you can stick to the guidelines. For what i have seen, you'll suceed every time. So, where's the challenge?
So you'd like a checklist of stove, fridge etc? Pretty sure it would still be possible to make a kitchen that's dysfunctional or weird otherwise. How is the game going to check that the kitchen is usable? I watched a couple of gameplay videos and there were some failures. Not completely sure why but I think they ignored some of the likes and just went with their own ideas.
Dont you already get a check list in the sims 4 when you are building a shop in game?
