how can an elder die from overexertion?

My elder died from it when he woohooed his wife :D he was celebrating he retired

Woohoo does the trick for this one! Or constant jogging.

I did this:
1. Before getting that uncomfortable moodlet, I had my sim get the energized potion from the rewards store drink it. It only costs 200 satisfaction points and gives 100 point energized moodlet.
2. After drinking the potion, I had my elder sim work out until they became dangerously tired.
3. As that moodlet that comes from the potion beats the uncomfortable potion (100 > 40), I could have my sim work out again.
And after that my elder sim died.

This reminds me of the time I had inadvertently killed an Elder by overexertion.
My Sim, a vampire, was at work at the Detective career, and I was tired of having to shoo Sims off the computers so I could use them, so I had started Commanding them to Work Out.

I didn't know that the command to work out would override an Elder Sim suffering from Dangerously Tired moodlet's inability to work out.

Though the Energized Potion is still best, as it doesn't require another Sim like the WooHoo method, or this which also requires Vampires.

He-he, vampires are my solution to pretty much everything. I'm surprised the word out command didn't occur to me.

I'm confused. Do you want your elder to die?
