How can you preview a Trendi outfit before purchase and how can you delete unwanted outfits?

So I bought a Trendi outfit based on description alone and I ended up looking like a fruit loop. How can you preview before buying and how can you delete trash outfits?

You can gift it to a townie, which is another way to get rid of it.
