My son had the My Sims games on Wii when he was little, and I used to play with him. Then my daughter's friend introduced us to the Sims 2. We started playing it and when it was discontinued, we were able to get a copy of the entire game that EA or Maxis gave away for free. I fell in love with it. Never even considered getting Sims 3.
Sometime later I started playing Sims Freeplay on my tablet. I got so into it and also enjoyed watching some YouTubers called Make 2 who played Freeplay and Sims 4. I started salivating after Sims 4 then, and about that time they gave the base game away for free. It wasn't when it became permanently free but several years before when they had a temporary promotion.
It was a good call on EA'S part because I have now spent a small fortune on this game, even considering I bought most of it on sale. I bought Lovestruck as soon as the emergency patch went through. So I'm addicted.😁
