How do I keep my droid from zapping?

I know this is a thing, but if a sim I'm not currently controlling (family) chats with it, eventually, it'll land on either "Complain about First Order" or "Enthuse about Resistance" and they get zapped. The droid has a First Order chip and everyone in the family is a trooper. Would removing the chip completely make the droid neutral? What's the correct answer?

    Going back to the default chip should make the droid neutral. I don't remember if there are Scoundrel chips but they should also make the droid neutral if there are.

    Simply swapping it out for the default chip worked. Thanks!
