How do I texture the INSIDE of my foundation?

Below my house foundation I have a basement I would like to have stairs leading down too. But it looks like this inside the foundation! It's grey and untextured and I can't texture it! It looks dreadful :(

This makes me want to play with vampires now because it looks like some kind of underground crypt thing where they would sleep.
