well in the resources and tuning files for the cure related to vampires it definitely states that the cure can be given to someone and this someone can then drink the cure. So it should be possible to somehow give a vampire the cure without slaying them!
I'm going to keep playing around with this aspect of the GP to find things out. It interests me!- Hey guys, how do I even GET the potion to be placed in my inventory? I can only drink or place in world. Do I need the chemistry lab?

Did you make sure that the drink is not spoiled? Or maybe it has to be a good enough quality. If not, it might be a glitch. I think restarting your game should help or try dragging the drink to your sim's 'profile pic' in the UI at the bottom instead of the inventory. - My sim is best friends with some vampires and in the Friendly Menu I believe there is an option to "ask to cure" but I never made a cure potion (because its expensive) so I don't know what the interaction would look like but otherwise you can "slay-fight" them to cure them (this requires you to win the fight) or put the vampire into a family and make them drink a Cure potion.
- My normal sims have never had the options to ask to cure and I have plenty of normal and vampires living together I simply have never had that option in any of my saves. The option your referring to is ask to turn not cure

There is an option to "Offer to cure Vampirism" under friendly interactions. However, for this you need to have the cure in your inventory and that's the problem for me. When I make the drink, I do not have any possibility to place the drink in my inventory. I can leabe it out or put it in the fridge or drink it myself, but I cannot put it in my inventory, and you can only use the offer to cure option if the drink is in your inventory...Glitch perhaps?
I was struggling with this too until i learned that you can put the cure in your inventory if you make it on your own lot at your own bar. I mean, at least that worked for me. The hassle. :#
*I don't normally have bars in my homes so I leech off other houses or public lots usually l ol- For some reason i cant put the cure in my inventory any one can help me?

Is the cure already expired/spoiled? If not, try leaving the lot and come back and see if that helps. - aodoherty9 years agoSeasoned Ace

Okay. Thank you. So you can't cure friends?
You can't. You still have to 'fight' them.
Thanks @Dekay. That's what I figured out. My hunter was friends with the vamp and that's why it didn't come up. I wanted to find out if spoiled potions work as well before I move on to the next part of my story :) Do you know if spoiled cures work?
Hi, I just tested it out. You won't be able to place a spoiled cure in your sim's inventory if you have it left out in the world for some reason. I'm not too sure if it would work if you had the cure in the inventory before it was spoiled and be able to use it for the slaying. But I found out that a vampire can drink the spoiled cure and still be cured. :)
Thanks, I found that out last night too. Once it's placed in the world, you can't put it back in inventory. I was able to hover over the sell area though and did get 2250 of the money back.
I took another spoiled one out today and found out that it does indeed still work to cure even though it's gone bad. My sim had made a couple of them and I put them in the fridge. I was able to take them out of the fridge and let them spoil in the inventory.
Good thing is that they are still usable!
Yep. I sold the spoiled one for $13000+ tho. XD
Looks like it depends on the mixology skill level. My A sim made a reconfiguration drink. It costs 1,000 per one drink. His drink was sold for 1,000 in his inventory. His mixology skill is 1. My B sim made the same drink. It was sold for 5,600 simoleons. His mixology level was 9. My C sim sold it for 6,000 simoleons. His mixology level is 10. I think the vampire cure drink would be worked at the same way. :) My C sim sold the spoiled cure drink for 13,500 simoleons. Also my C sim had a vampire cure drink reward from Good Vampire aspiration. It was sold for 0. - DeKaythePUNK9 years agoLegend

Yes, I think so. My sim has a level 10 mixology skill.
