How do you clean a dirty chick?

It's my understanding that chickens (any by extension, chicks) are cleaned simply by cleaning the coop, unlike llamas and cows, which must be cleaned separately from their sheds.

Ok that title confused me for a moment. ??

Back on topic: does cleaning the entire coup not mean that all the chickens get cleaned up? I don’t believe you can put them in a bathtub or under the shower. Or in a pond. It’d be almost cruel to do such thing to a little squeak ball like that. ?

Can one clean individual chickens in this game? I doubt it.
Just gather them all into the coup and clean the coup. That should sort her out.
Perhaps someone else has more info on this though…

Clean the coup and they tend to just air out. A more crowded coup will result in dirtier conditions but keeping it clean reduces the green stink.
Should they get dirty they just need to roam around after the coup was cleaned and they'll be just fine.

If your chick is still dirty after cleaning the coop, click on it and choose discuss preening. That should encourage it to clean itself. Sometimes they do get upset after, if they’re in a bad mood. ?

As everyone said cleaning the coop cleans the chicks & chickens but I have noticed it can take a bit after the coop is cleaned for the chickens to register as clean too.

I wonder if rain does anything?
I read somewhere that you could call them out of the coop during rain and that can help them get cleaned (apart from the coop cleaning and discussing preening). Don't know if it's true or not.

My suggestion is also to clean the coop. I've not yet experienced a dirty chicken but I love birds and stay on top of cleaning their coop.

@SimmerMars Never though of that. Discuss pruning. The chick did eventually 'magically' get clean. Probably just needed to go back into a clean coop. However, if I see that again, I'll try that just to see it it works.

@JackOnYourBack Honestly, I don't think rain does anything. (There was alot of rain but that chick never got clean) Just like for a dirty Sim. (Unless they shower in the rain, heh!) I don't think animals can do that.
