I play with aging off, and as mightysprite said not everyone has to have kids or a partner...if you really want a more versatile experience try making different kinds of households, so you can always play what you are in the mood for, that's how I do it...so I dont have any kind of rotation schedule either, I play whichever household I want for however long I want (the freedom of agelessnes).
