I have about 10 vampires in my save. Most of them are background sims, but I play them at times. I enjoy to play their struggles as they get used to being a vampire and find their way to live as one. Some of them have troubles with their nonvampire family members or friends who may be afraid of or disapprove them. Some of my vampires refuse to drink from other sims whereas others love to hunt. Some of them do séance, others paint, play piano, write screenplays or poetry, do yoga and flower arrangements, take care of plants or sick animals etc. They also have writer and painter clubs. Living in a haunted house is good for vampires, it keeps them busy. I also love using the vampire break in ablity and sneaking in celebrity homes to have some delicious plasma and nightly swim in a pool, sometimes my vampires play piano or watch a movie there too.
I carefully consider which abilities and weaknesses my vampires get and which represent them the best (I also try not to give them too many abilities), so I don't have just one type of vampires. All of them are infertile though (and I probably draw inspiration from Anne Rice's vampires the most because I really loved those books when I was younger). Vlad and Lilith are my master vampires and most of my vampires are Lilith's offspring (she hopes that some day she'll be called The Queen). If there's some kind of disagreement, trouble with spellcasters (or werewolves) or something Lilith and Vlad should be informed.
I look forward to having a celebrity vampire and I have never had a vampire baby, but I have planned to try to make Lily and Victor Feng have one (there's a pee bush and "on a dark ley lain" lot trait on Vlad's lot waiting for them. I'm still not sure how they'll end up there though :joy:).
