I wasn't sure I wanted it, but I jumped at the chance when I saw the Bundle deal on offer, and I must say, I am quite impressed by it.
Yet, I feel that I've barely scratched the surface. I haven't touched the Actor career yet! I've been grinding a singer/songwriter career for my guitar playing Sim, and I must say it feels like a wee challenge in terms of gaining fame and money from talent...just like the real world. I am so happy I can finally get my Sim to make money and gain recognition from music (that is not the entertainer career...I wanted to make him a guitar player and not a jack of all trades). And it's not easily done...it shouldn't be. It takes many Sim hours to get recognised!
Basically its great for Sim's careers and not just fame. It plumps their talents out and gives them more meaning.
The perks system is fun, but I haven't fully explored it yet. I love the ideas of quirks too, and how they generate on their own. I also really like how we can pick how long we want our Sims to stay in the spotlight, from humble string plucker to aiming for big bucks and the stars.
I'm not a builder, but the objects are awesome. They are very stylish and give my Sims' homes a richer feel.
The only moan I have is my Sim fanboying over some random celebrity without my input..he doesn't seem the type to gush over Judith Ward!
I might add more comments once I sink my teeth into the game (I only got it a few hours ago!) but so far I am really enjoying it!
