How long do 'new' EPs take to go on sale?

there is fewer sales these days but I would guess that we will see some sale percentage next year for Horse Ranch

spring or summer

possibly in similar percentages as they are showing HSY now

HSY came out at the end of July last year, and I think it was on sale by the holidays. I can't remember precisely when, but I'm pretty sure it was on sale sometime in November-December. Regardless, it's on sale right now (on Origin anyway) and it's been less than a year, so you most likely won't be waiting a full year for Horse Ranch.

Yeah as most suggested it won’t be on a ‘better’ such as 50% off until another EP is released usually, or a year and more later. HSY took a while to get a good discount. If it does go on sale sooner than that it would be 25% or 35%

I might be wrong, but it seems it’s taking longer nowadays for new EPs to reach the full 50% off discount. I’m sure I didn’t wait a full year to get Snowy Escape for half price, whereas High School Years has been out almost exactly a year now and still hasn’t reached that point, even though we’ve had Growing Together since. Maybe my memory’s totally faulty :) I ended up using cd keys for HSY as I felt I’d waited long enough and my game was ready for it. I’m glad I did as otherwise I’d still be waiting now.

I guess it might take longer because they made base game free this Winter (?). It probably means that some of those who are new with TS4 do buy a few packs instead. So, if there is a new market, why not adjust the sales strategy? At least, I'd think along those lines if it was my product catalog :)

I bought a lot of EP at half price. In the past they usually went on a 50% sale after half a year. This was true up until cottage living. But high school years hasn't been off 50% a year after release. Either someone at EA thinks high school years is more valuable than any other EP or they changed their sales strategy.

I do!!! I'm torn between GrT and HR, but my current budget protests to both, and besides my PC is getting old and is below system rec on both of them, so I should probably wait a while anyway. I think GrT might be 30% on the Black Friday sale, no earlier...
