how long does it take for a sims to be accepted into college, and see if they recivied a scholarship?

It definitely wasn't the next day. Same for scholarships should arrive the same day as the acceptance letter.
Yes this. About 2-3 days :) I also noticed my sim seemed to have gotten two scholarships - one she applied for and one she didn't (for being very skilled I think). But don't take my word for it, I'm not entirely sure xD
