This sounds stupid but it depends how depressed I am. If I'm in a really dark place mentally I escape into the Sims and could maybe play 60 hours in a week. Then when I'm feeling better I take a break away from it and fix all the stuff that I let slide in my life (like laundry, heh) and do my other hobbies like embroidery or reading books. To be honest my mental health can deteriorate so much sometimes that the Sims acts as a last barrier between me and just straight up lying on the floor doing nothing. I say to myself hey, playing the Sims is better than literally staring at the wall waiting for the dark time to pass.
