- Last time i checked, i had over 12gb worth of mods and CC. I can’t remember the exact number
- LiELF6 years agoLegendI currently have five. I may remove add or remove a couple, but I like to play with as few as possible because they can get disrupted with patches so easily. I do have a separate game folder that has a ton of CC that I'm almost finished purging (sorted down to less than 6gb! I have a CC shopping problem, haha) and when I'm done I'm going to load it up and see what my game was like. I haven't played it in over a year (because maintenance) so I'm probably going to really miss a lot of the progress I've made in my other game.
I might have to transfer some Sims and lots and the CC to my current save so I can continue with the households I've been enjoying. For now I have "alternate realities", lol. - Admiral8Q6 years agoSeasoned Ace

Speaking of mods, has the hybrid shower-bathtub been fixed? I have the quick shower temp fix, in my game the hybrid shower still doesn't work.
They work in my game - my sims can shower and bathe in them normally. :) I updated to the latest patch and removed the mod that fixes that issue.
Thanks. I'll remove that mod then. I do like the quick shower and quick bath option though. Probably another small mod for that.
EDIT: I removed the hybrid shower fix and triple speed maid fix mods. It is working now with the base game. Excellent! - texxx786 years agoSeasoned Ace

I have 5 atm. Mccc, Meaningfull stories, one mod to make bathing and showering faster, other to make eating and drinking faster and one to have all names in english, including npc's (my game isn't in english).
But i want to get more to get rid of some autonomous actions.
You can use MCCC's Tuner to do that, with the "Autonomy Scan"
thank you @Kathykins ! I'll explore it! - bshag4lv6 years agoSeasoned AceThe mods I have, large ones like MCCC and SOL are ones I can't play without now. I have mods from LittleMsSam, bienchen, scarlet, scumbumbo (thanks to those who are keeping his great mods updated!). I have a ton of cc as I figure patches mostly affect mods and everyone who I have mods by usually update really fast. :)
My overall mods folder is 1.9 gb and I'm fighting tooth and nail to keep it under 2 gb. :D - cb2342z6 years agoSeasoned AceThese are those that I absolutely have to have. And currently, not a whole lot more, as I did a post-patch purge. Thankfully, this patch didn't break hardly anything.
MCCC (if it didn't exist, I'd be going nuts constantly; as I did before I got into using mods with this game).
Meaningful Stories
That one we really aren't allowed to mention (for its attraction/romance system; as the one that the game comes with is shallow).
And several others that are for the purpose of adding realism, drama, and liveliness to the game; and fixing what was broke. Recently, I decided not to add UI Cheats back to my game; as at the point, I was thinking about doing my first generational save with aging, on but quickly changed that. My mod folder, is quite often, 2-3 gigs at least.
What I don't use--CC that heavily alter a Sim's appearance. I got into them when downloading Sims from outside the Gallery. I do like that some of them make a Sim look decently photorealistic; instead of a caricature. They break every now and then, and Sims look weird without it should I remove it.
Compare that to TS2 (nothing!) and TS3 (NRass and that's it).
