How many sims can your sim remember and be friends with

I've been playing a while but I usually just have my sims be friends with a few others. I had one sim who is a spy and I wanted to make him know everyone. Then Elsa I wanted to make really popular and know every kid in school. It seems like I can get to know certain sims but then I forget them if I meet new sims. I keep meeting the same sims again and it is like I met them for the first time, even if if I knew all about them before.

    Without mods, relationship culling is very bad in this game. I have seen it totally destroy a boyfriend-girlfriend couple's relationship, just because they don't live in the same home. If you are interested in stopping it, there is the MCCC mod that will stop this, but once in you'll need to work on the settings. Once the settings are the way you like, it will take care of all your game saves. Here is a link to it in case you don't know about it.
