In my experience, the work of Journalist is a total time-waster, especially when doing your daily tasks; you have to actually go out and meet several people a day, ask each one of them about their lives, then you have to go home and write either a positive/negative article about the Sims you interviewed and have to write it for about 3-4 Sims in order to even complete your daily work tasks. This cycle repeats every time you're waiting for the next workday. If you don't mind Robin being a workaholic and have no social life, by all means pursue it. However if you want him to have more free time (especially for Lisa) I say just stick to writing books and being an author. Just my two simoleons.
