- I didn't use the internet to know about mods as a child when I played ts1 (I didn't even know cheats existed)
I mainly played ts2 on console so I couldn't use mods.
With the sims 3 I had some cc and mods for store content (mechanic added, different styles object)
For the sims 4 if I'm using mods my must haves are
1. Mcc command by deaderpool (tumblr)
2. Social activities by Little Ms Sam (tumblr)
3. Homework overhaul by Scarletqueenkat (mts)
4. Don't prep where you poop by Scumbumbo (mts)
5. More columns in CAS by Weerbesu (mts)
I also have SimCity loans but I would not say it's a must for me. I would like SNBank once inheritance is added.
I could play without mods just fine, did so for the first 4 years before as I didn't have the patience to learn mcc. But these just make my style of play easier.
The only CC i have are wedding dresses and hairs, as I play rotationally all my wedding photos started looking so same. I use the sims 4 studio to batch fix all cc so nothing is allowed for random, and delete wedding outfits after the wedding.
Oh and I use a Moschino override that makes the English test simlish - peanutsinspace7 years agoNew SpectatorI definitely use mods but I only have a few, the main being MCCC. I think it really enhances gameplay and if I could only keep one of my mods, that would be it.
- OldeSimsFan7 years agoSeasoned AceIn TS1 & 2 did CC for walls, floors, clothes as I like to do medieval and Victorian, and the gaame is light in those areas. TS 4 much the same, though beginning to use mods to deal with the glitches &c. the devs consistently ignore.
- ValiantRedKnight7 years agoSeasoned AceI use a lot more mods for TS4, but that’s just because they’re easier to install. I couldn’t be bothered to get anything more than Story Progression and Error Trap for TS3 after I couldn’t figure out the “fixed” version of the world from Island Paradise.
- With the way I play, I don’t really see the need for mods at the moment. One day, I might end up getting mods and custom content, but for now I don’t think I need it or have the patience to keep everything well maintained. There’s endless possibilities with The Sims 4, so who knows what’s on the horizon?
- blushedstorms7 years agoRising VanguardFor TS3 I only used the MCCC and Traveller since there was plenty of things to do in the game. My sims 4 game has a lot of mods. I have more traits, realistic emotions, a dating app, roommate, sleepovers, hotels and more. It's ridiculous that none of the stuff I mentioned is in the game.
- Just enhancements that customize the game to my needs. If they fail to add it to the game.
CC I love: liberated unlocks CC (bonus points if they don’t require the actual pack they were ripped from, like they took spooky stuff costumes redesigned it.
Conversions are always fun. I have a lot of Sims Medieval to Sims 4 conversions
World maps redrawn and colored.
Expansion/Game/Stuff pack add-ons, they took the original stuff like the Romantic Garden pack window, and they made windows for different wall heights and doors that match the windows.
I have Zerbu -More GetTogether Icons
Mods that stop townies from spawning, (I only care for my own Sims)
Mods that manipulate Traits, emotions, relationships. Add Careers
Ultimately, to summarize Mods that manipulate the Teen Rating, my Sims 4 game is now rated M. - My first sims game was Sims 2, and I've used CC cars for 2 and 3, but I have not used mods. Sims 4 could never keep my attention so I added MCCC which made it a little better, but It only works for so long. I always feel content starved in sims 4.
- FriendlySimmers7 years agoSeasoned Acei use mods to max out my sims skills right from the start and give them more money right from the start and to make sure all the cheats are always on
- If I could only have one mod, it would be MC Commander.
