Wait? Neighbourhood stories kill sims? I mean, it makes sense in a way, but I also never have that stuff enabled, and NPCs are dying left and right for me. It's pretty annoying to have your neighbourhood turn into ghostlands. Probably is mod-related in my case then. (:
