You don't have to cheat anymore... it's not easy but you can get them by having a level 10 gardener buy rare seeds... the beans are in those packs and the stump is accessible without cheats in Build/buy. Grow the tree and visit.. get the fruit ect..
They didn't make it a big deal when they changed it.
Good to know, but I wish they were worth the effort. :#
The only benefit really is placing down the tree because I thought it looks whimsical and magic. Seeds are good decorate at least for a spellcaster??? - I think i had plant sim once when they released with ts4 but then i found out its not permanent and the sims can no longer cause their own spawn which was the funny point for me in past games soo i sort of forgot they even are there
I did love them in ts2 though so if they made it permanent state and fixed the stupidity up id be interested - CandiGir1New SpectatorI like the idea of playing a plantsim, but going about it without cheats hasn't worked for me. By the time I have played a human Sim long enough to get them up to Gardening level 10, I've already developed that person's personality and they've started living their life. Switching to a different species hasn't yet worked out at that point for me. Just didn't make a lot of sense in my story. Plus, what's the benefit at that point? I'm already maxed out and there's nothing to gain. So whether you're being realistic or playing meta, the way it works in game is clunky.
Soon, I might try cheating and creating a plantsim from the start, then playing out their love of gardening and all things that grow. But, like many others have suggested, I think I'll also be adding some cc to the mix. Just so I can stand looking at them. - ck213Seasoned ScoutThere isn't much to them compared to plant sims in TS2 and TS3.
I'm not going to bother with them unless they are overhauled. - Honestly, I completely forgot that they exist in the game until I saw this poll... Now I want to, haha
- SEREFRASSeasoned VeteranThey need to become a regular lifestate not temporary. Also, the green hairstyles should be for all the hairstyles. And have more plant powers.
- I like the difficulty to become a plantsim. Maxing the gardening skill and collecting the beans.
But it's a lot work for a sim that's just green and does nothing unique. And its temporary.
They're really disappointing and need to be further developed. - Just not interested in this version of them. They have no special features and they are only temporary.
- I want to play with Plantsims...but not as they are now. Right now, in TS4, they're just a temporary status effect. That's not fun. I want to play with them, but as a fully fleshed-out lifestate. As they are now...it's just not worth the effort to unlock them.
- My own answer is that I only did once briefly, but I'd like to explore them more at some point. I'm mainly a realism style player which is why I haven't, but they were pretty fun the one time I did.
