Can infants be played as active sims?

Right now, we don't know... I looked over the trailer and didn't see the infant selected.

Perhaps they are selectable... But we'll have to wait for the livestream on March the 3rd to know for sure.

You might be right. Though toddlers get quirks too. And they are controllable.

I'd be truly amazed if infants were not playable they are a Sim created in CAS like any other can be taught and carried who are able to interact with objects and other Sims in the world. Can you imagine the outrage no way are they uncontrollable like a baby

I do see it as quite a fun challenge though if infants are like cats. Then we will need to tend to them to try keeping them happy, and happy might be triggered by different actions depending on their personality. I'm not saying I'm hoping they can not be controoled,, just that I'll live with it if they are. Real life infants are not controlable either, are they? I mean, the directions we can give to RL infants are very restricted. And understanding them is often a mystery, at least for the start.

I also hope we can control them to a certain extent, at least. Have them play with toys, or pull themselves up by the ottoman. I did see a still picture on Sims Community where an Infant was holding onto what looked like an ottoman, standing as if cruising. We'll have to wait and see. Either way, I'm so happy they're coming!

I really hope they are controllable because I don't see the point in creating the life stage if not.

it would be quite interesting if infants started out uncontrollable, but as they develop and grow you gain more control over their movements until you have full control like a toddler- it would mimic the transition from baby to toddler where you have no control/little understanding over a baby but much more autonomy from a toddler who knows their own mind.
