I feel like there is a big age gap between kids and teens and it's not just height but developmentally wise. My 13-year-old is taller than me but she still doesn't look like a teen in the sims 4 who look like adults. You can tell my daughter is a teenager despite her height. It's very hard to tell the difference in a sims game which is why I think they should have been a little shorter because this is a game and I would like to tell the difference between the life stages as I play them. I also feel like teens lack any individual gameplay for just them. All the life stages need work but I think teens and babies need an overhaul.
