I have no idea what the game thinks but there is an aspiration for wealth that might clue you in. I consider six figures to be wealthy in the game, myself. Erik often achieves way more, to the point he earns Simoleons for the job completed, but they don't register because the game has a cap. We're talking 999,999,999.
