This is what I do:
1. Play 4-week seasons
2. Use Long life span
3. Rotate to families that will benefit the most from certain holidays
4. Make Winterfest a whole week celebration (The first 5 days are winter break and include gift giving, etc. then Christmas Eve & Christmas.)
5. Play various families during winter break, then choose one to focus on for the last two days.
6. Use potions, wishing well, ambrosia, Long Lived trait or any other means to slow aging if I need more time. Disable aging in the Options menu, if necessary.
