How to get rid of mouth wrinkles on adult sims?

This is driving me insane, there is no reason an dult sim should have these lines next to mouth/cheek as soon as they age up. Wish it came as a feature like they did with the eye bags resently. I seem to be unable to tweak in away in cas, anyone used a skin overlay for this? Though I prefer playiing the game without mods. Any tips greatly appreaciated

This thread is making me feel bad. I’m 28 and I already have lines there on my face. I think if adult sims are supposed to represent 30+ then it’s normal for them to have it unless I’m just wrinkling super early.

Don't feel bad. Everyone ages at a different rate. My maternal grandmother had a full head of gray hair by age 35. Most likely she was deficient in certain vitamins, or something. Me? I'm closing in on 69, and my hair is slowly being taken over by white strands of hair. It's still mostly red, but it's progressing as I expected would happen at some point. I had neighbors who already had 'crow's feet' at the corners of their eyes, and they were in their 30's. I still don't, but I don't 'worship' the sun, either and I keep my face moisturized. I've also been blessed with oily skin. Now, when I smile, I get crinkles below my eyes, so I'm not without any at all. But, still, be kind to yourself. Nor, do I smoke.

I think the lines are an attempt to distinguish adults from young adults because there are hardly any other differences between those two in the game. Luckily they are rather subtle (in my humble opinion, or due to my grafics card?)

What I don't like is that fact that we have no in game way to get rid of them. Why not make them optional? To force these lines on all adults feels like a certain form of ageisme, specially in a game that already feels like a young adult simulator for 90% of the content. Not everyone has these lines at the same age. The better solution is the grey hair for elders which can be changed if we want.

They should simply create a subtle change. Not such a glaring 'you're getting old' look. My Mom really never looked her age, even when she reached 80, (an elderly friend of mine called my mother a young 80) until Alzheimer's ravaged her in the end. We should have a way to change it in game. The look in my game has a way of making Kayleigh look fat. She's on the lean side so her face shouldn't make it look as if she needs to lose 40+ pounds.

They could also be smile lines, why is there wrinkles shaming, it’s a part of life

Smile lines aren't a permanent fixture. I think most of us have them when smiling, but once we stop smiling, they don't linger. And I don't see this as wrinkle-shaming. Yes, we all get them as we age, but as I've stated above, we don't all get them at the same point in life. I think most of us are merely advocating for an in-game way of removing them when we think they hit our Sims too soon, is all.
  • I'm pretty sure I got my nose-to-mouth creases right around the time I aged up to adult ;)

  • Adult! Not young adult :)
This topic is about the lines that sims develop when aging up from young adult to adult
