How to start a fire in a house to kill off sims?

Hi! I have a corrupted file and before I reset it I want to burn all of the houses that came with it (BFF, Goth, Pancakes, etc etc.) and kill all of the Sims. I know it may sound cruel, but the only time I saw a fire is when my wife was making grilled cheese. :p
