How well do you treat your Butler?

Only 2 or 3 of my households have a live in butler. All have their private bedroom, which is normally equipped with stuff that the butler really don'rt need, and never use. Like a desk, books to read, etc. Today I noticed that in one of the houses the butler even got his own private bathroom, while the household of 5 share one bathroom  Butlers don't ever use a bathroom, I think, but well, I feel sorry for them if they get no facilities at all...

How about you?

  • It is funny how most of my butlers die of starvation or old age almost after I hire them. I don't run them ragged they just won't do what they need for themselves..
  • The only butler I've played was amazing! His name was Ace, and he did everything I could ever ask. He watered the plants, cooked a meal each day, put the kids to bed, helped them with their homework, etc etc. I made him a cozy corner of the house with a desk, books, chess table, and his own bathroom fit with a shower/tub. He never really spent time in there other than to sleep though :/ but I guess that's just how butlers work.

What ended up happening was the parents died one after the other, so half the kids went to live with their maternal grandmother while their step-siblings moved in with Ace. He became their adopted dad, so he was literally a part of the family :,)

Here's one of the few pictures I got of him! Dearly missed

  • I always have my sims fall in love with the butler, unless it is an elder sim... then, I fire the butler and hire a new one so I can marry THAT butler...

The butler's gender normally determines whether or not my sim is gay, too... lol!
  • If my sims weren't independent little workaholics we'd have one. Getting them to stay home and do something normal for a change is like pulling teeth at times. The heir to my Legacy however has other ideas, she loves playing pranks and conducting mischief on Winston II, much to his slight annoyance. Being from another country he isn't used to the hi-jinks of a more spirited, sassy sim, shall we say, but I think he secretly likes it because he's usually counteracting her mischief with dry humor, and still helped take care of her sister after the parents rather untimely death. You could say he's more than just a butler - he is family. The poor sod has zero luck with the family raccoon, though. He's been clawed at least nine times, it's like kicking the hornet's nest at this point...
  • It depends entirely on which character I'm using.. On the one hand Elsa and Anna were incredibly kind to Gerda and Kai, they have their own small homes outside of the main castle where everything they need is provided to them.

    On the other...
When vampire-cultist Hans and his master preformed a hostile takeover of Arendelle Kai and Gerda fought but were obviously were overwhelmed and confined to the dungeons in a pool of water with no way to escape.

Kai eventually drown just before the birth of his and Gerda's child as Anna and Elsa went to stay with my other master vampire Veralesca.. They will return to try to save Gerda and her baby girl (I couldn't kill Gerda, she just hung in there so long that I started to feel bad and then realizing that she was pregnant I couldn't let her die >.>)

    All of that said..
    Kai will be avenged

Unfortunately for the random nanny service being brought in to take care of the child until then however.. they are pretty much blood-slaves being spirit drained.
  • I try to treat the butler well, but he/she doesnt do anything it's supposed to do in the first place. It won't care for the kids, garden, cook, clean, anything. It stands in a corner and reads. Wont cook any meals, says i have no tools it needs, which is insane, cause i do. all the settings are correct, and she keeps flirting with my husband. I wish the butler responded automatically to the emotional state my sim is in, hungry, it cooks food, sad kids, plays with them, dying plants, waters them......i give them a swanky pad, friendship them up, and they let my kids starve!!!! and when i fire the butler and try to rehire a new one, the same one comes back and does the same thing. done. with. butlers. and some maids charge me for doing NOTHING.
  • I used a butler once, he didn’t do much so I fired him and have never tried again.
  • They treat them like robots. I've experienced butlers not turning up if I become friends with them so I only ever click them and assign tasks, don't even introduce them. They get a small room sparsely with some furnishing so it's not so empty, but only use their beds. They have access to all facilities in the house so don't need much personally.

James Windsor Is head of the Jordan Family House Staff has a a Room, on the upstairs floor, in the West Wing, it's well decorated in a Roman, Nior Tone. He's well respected by the Family and the Staff. as well as a mutual respect between the Staff and Family.

Debating how I want to spell his death tho, James is a very Loyal Friend and servant to Lord Adam Jordan. The Jordans are also a family of werewolves, and James is human, he's aware of his Master's being, and truly cares for the family. However, In 1881 there's going to be an attack on the Jordan Estate, that murders the entire family except the youngest son, Caleb.

I wonder should I have James escape the Mansion, and care for the 13 year old werewolf?
Because the tragedy was, Everyone dies, leaving Caleb alone for 85 years Beast.

Yes, have the butler be the one that saves Caleb. I think that you should see if James could adopt as well. When James dies, his adopted son can be the caregiver and then more drama/decision making as that aging happens.
