Yah, I am sure that is correct @Karababy52. I've had many sims go through University and always had the things I received while in a dorm show up once they finally got a real home.
I just made this post because I was questioning the fact that this happens every single time I have a sim in a dorm and thought, well...maybe there's a way to access it that I just never figured out. Seems that isn't the case. I'm just dying to find out what the heck I even got. :lol:
BTW, there is one way to access household inventory while living in the dorm. Buy a retail lot. You can then access household inventory when you are at the retail location, even though your sim is staying in a dorm. That's an expensive way to go about it though...
I learned that this works when I had a student start a retail business a few weeks ago.
