How's the Cottage Living so far?

I failed to look at that one when I was first reading the Lessons. I may just have to start a brand new game save, though. I was playing a traditional rotation style that upended on me. While one farm was doing well (the active lot, of course) their neighbors farm was failing. Face/palm.

Have your neighbors befriended each other yet? I've been having mine go back and forth to visit each other, and they work together on each other's farms. It's also a good opportunity for them to trade wool and milk back and forth, since each lot only has room for one shed. They are in different neighborhoods, though, so that probably also helps to keep things from getting out of hand.
