Aren't alien pregnancies the same length as regular sim pregnancies?

I think so but the thing is that the husband is was having the weird belly feeling and lights without the moodlet. So I'm confused now.

He just woke up with and obvious baby bump (after posting my question) so I'm thinking that now is the time for his wife to conceive.

That can be a tricky question to answer. My Heir Three got abducted just minutes before he was due at the wedding arch. I quickly deleted the icon in his queue, because I knew he could be gone for Sim hours and I really wanted his wedding to take place. Happily, he was returned almost immediately. The wedding occurred and so did the first night. His bride got preggars as a result. But it was in the back of my mind that I had blown my chances for him to be preggars, because I had called him back right away. The long and the short of it is, he was also expecting. She had her baby, but he was several hours behind her. He gave birth to twins.

As far as I know, the best way to have them give birth around the same time is to have the husband and wife immediately Try for Baby once the husband gets back, and not use a pregnancy test. That way they'll cycle through the moodlets at around the same time.

Also, if you have MC Command Center than you can trigger the wife to be in labor at the same time as the husband.

If the husband is already showing I'd have them Try for Baby now. :)

No MC, on Xbox so am prohibited.

I have to do the pregnancy tests for her because they have tried 5 times for a baby and only succeeded once! I'd never seen that before.

I have a feeling that the glowing lights was when I should have had them try for a baby because he looks a lot more pregnant than she does.

I thought I needed to wait for the moodlet so I think the timing is off by a day. It should still be close though, I hope.

@GalacticGal that sucks about your wedding mishap. I've never had them come right back so I'm with you, I would have been positive that he would have missed the wedding.

So Wren is in her first trimester and this is the first time Jose is visibly showing. So I think he is farther along by a day.

It was perfect timing! Jose and Wren just got home from his delivery and went to sleep while their daughter was in the shower at 7:05. Suddenly, Wren went into labor!!!

That's exactly what I was hoping for!!!

Yeah. I think that if Wren wouldn't have taken the pregnancy test, it would have been a day late. But as I said earlier, it took them 5 tries to have 2 kids. So a pregnancy test was required. I'll post pics when they are uploaded.
