I have mostly problems with roofing, and it is likely caused by the platforms. Even if I recover the entire building with just one big roof piece, they get freezing temperatures in the hall way, as if the roof is not 100% covering the room. Visually I can't tell a difference. The stair rail has snow on it, but not the steps, and it will be mostly a visual problem during Winter, only.
Put the walls down in build mode and go up to the roof level. You'll be able to see if there's no ceiling on the hallway. If there's no ceiling click the hallway and build ceiling.
