Yes it's a made up word. But I am the kind of person that keeps restarting everything 1000 times.This time... I can't decide if I am going to continue with my main gameplay and just make my vampire family famous, on top of everything else ORIf I am to start over.And then if I start over, should I start with a single sim or a family or friends or... I find starting a truly Single sim is usually quite boring at first. BUT if I give her a friend or a roommate or a lover or a spouse, or a kid... There will be too many sims very soon (I rarely enjoy playing more than 3 or maybe four sims at once, too much to keep track of) and I have to throw out some of my starter sims to make room...No I am not really asking for advice, I just want to vent! :smiley:

Oof I suffer from that too. Game only really seems fun with the starting part (basic necessities, no money, and something that can maybe resemble a house if you squint) and then building up. Once the lot is completely decorated however.....I don't know what to do. Building is basically most of the fun for me.There should be a support group for these type of Simmers

I hear you.The thing is that WHEN I really find a character I like (no matter what game) I get really attached. But I don't want to play the Voght family in Get Famous just yet, after all they are all already extremely successful, rich, and have 8+ in all meaningful skills.I am thinking of creating a young trio of friends, but I am not sure how to split it. Actor? Influencer? SOmething else? Part of me wants one of the friends to just be a normal Joe (or Joanne) and have a normal boring job...

I feel like this is a norm for me. I restart so many times, it’s not even funny just because I run out of ideas what type of life I want my sims to live or because I’m not really fully satisfied. I love when sims are working their way up the latter then I end up being tempted to restart and do it again.

Never heard of this :) I still play the save I started back in 2014. I'm playing all households so if I'm very active I might age everyone up over a couple RL months. Some of the elders were young adults when I started. Uhm, ok, whenever there is a new pack I might start a new game just to test that the install works, and I'm eager playing something fresh for a few hrs, but then I can't help returning to my old save :)

Well I am somewhere along the way.A reality life streamer who will film her way from being very out of shape to Body Builder stardom (not so crass in her mind, at this point she just wants to Simtube her diet and workout to motivate herself. Might lead to fame, but it's not what she has in mind right now).I just can't decide if I should pair her up with someone else or not.

I hate suffering from Restartitis.

The longest I've played with a Save is when I created a household of 8 with 7 adults and one elderly male Sim. I moved all his offspring out to separate lots in Newcrest, built them all houses and started them working. They all used to meet up to go to bars and restaurants and gave me a chance to practice my small house building skills. One went back to his dad and got a couple of dogs later, (probably wanted to inherit the big house).

I've still got it as a second Save to go back to as I started another when GetFamous came out. That's restart number 19.

At least you know how many time you've restarted. LOL I've done it so very often, I've lost track. :open_mouth:

I think I've still got all the older ones on my laptop or saved in My Documents in The Cloud somewhere as I moved the old ones out when it was suggested here that lots of Saves slow down the computer. Not sure if that was right information or not.

My Sims seem to come back a bit twisted when I open up an very old Save, pre Seasons - females turning into males etc. Marion I considered a female, now a hunky male, some turning Alien instead. I enjoy the costumes Maxis wants to dress them in for Seasons plus though.

I went through and deleted some of my 'saves' while the game was on. I do wish the naming of the saves in the document file wasn't so complicated. I'd like to give that a good 'cleaning out', too. It was so much easier in Sims3. Why did they have to complicate it in this iteration?

I had played with two completely different Saves on two consecutive days so arranged the Saves folder (Windows 10) by strict date "modified" and moved everything dated before that to a desktop folder.

I suppose, in the same way, you could resurrect the saves you want to keep by starting them up one by one, thus modifying them and then move out everything modified before that date?

Thanks for the tip. I have to mention that yesterday I decided to roll back to an earlier save again, (I'M NOT CURED, YET). What I did notice is that when you select a save and it's at the top of the load screen, there is a small icon of a folder below it just slightly to the right of the save picture. If you hover over it, it gives the code for that save. On a day when I don't have much to do, I shall go through the saves and write down said number and delete the ones I no longer wish to keep. Why, oh why, must it be this time consuming? I have Windows 7, so you're fix might not apply to me. I did look at the time-stamps on the same day saves. Oi!
