I miss sims being woken up by noises

Kind of a random topic, not sure where to post this but I really miss when sims used to get woken up by noises. In 3 if a sim started playing the guitar, or turned the tv or stereo on in a room where your sim was sleeping they'd wake up and start complaining about their sleep being disrupted by loud noise. It was pretty funny to go around the rooms playing guitar in the middle of the night and waking everyone up.

Now in 4, if you do the same thing they don't even respond to it or acknowledge it. Sims are completely oblivious to the impromptu performance of "Weeby Weeby Woo" happening directly next to their bed at 2am even when it's combined with a sim playing the guitar and rock blaring through the speakers at full volume.

It's just little things like that that make a big difference, it's so fun to just be able to create some chaos in the middle of the night, it's just weird to have absolutely no reaction :s
  • You know, I noticed recently a Sim sleeping with the stereo on, but I swear it used to not be like that. I actually developed a rule that stereos did not go in bedrooms because someone would always walk in and turn it on and wake them up.

Have them live in one of those apartments in CL where their neighbors party and wake them while they are sleeping ..... lol..... I tried knocking on the neighbors door to get them to stop, but I guess they were too busy partying because they never came to the door like they were supposed to, so I could ask them to stop.

That’s why I moved one of my households back to Willow Creek. Every single night, it’d be “Excuse me, Jesminder, we have nooboos over here, and I believe you do too!” I just got sick of it. XD

  • I agree... They dont even wake up, when the baby is crying.

But on the other hand the lazy Sim gets a negative moodlet, when a toodler wakes them up.
