I need advice about Big Brother Gameplay

So I'm playing a Big Brother challenge in my game right now. I set up a HUGE maze in the basement and at the end of the maze is a lump of clay. My idea was that a sim will randomly go down there and play with the clay...whoever plays with it first will be safe from elimination. Not one sim has gone down there to go through the maze to play with the clay. It's not a routing issue, I tested the maze. I guess a lump of clay is just not that exciting. haha. Is there another item that maybe could lure a sim down there but NOT something like a computer that would make every single sim go down there right away?
