I need to make my Sim sad but how?

The best way to make a Sim sad is to do something that is detrimental to their individual characteristics. Neglecting socials is often a good way, unless they're loners.

Once you get her sad, make sure to do a screenshot and make a memory of it. That way you can make her sad again if you want to by having her reference that sad memory. What a weird couple of sentences to write.

One of my sims was fired from a job and became sad.

Low social need. Then run to the closest easel and do a sad painting for whenever you need to make your Sim sad again.

Wow a lot of yucky things that can happen....I find the easiest way without killing someone is to try a swan dive, if you belly flop you will be sad. Then keep trying and when you do it you will be happy again.

im sad myself, ive been looking for an answer for many years how to make my sim sad, but the fun bar just goes up on its own, and make the sim talk to inanimate objects. maybe its one of those mods. i cant even find out what it was. the torturing is no fun. talking about sims 3 too, all i read are sims 4.

If you have a Sim with Public Enemy aspiration completed, you can use the Subtly Debase mischief interaction on that Sim and they'll get extremely sad.
